Moose Lake, Soo Line Pit

Ready to head out to the trails.
Packed up and ready to go!
The happy and excited crew.
Obviously a composed and in control kinda guy!
Topping off our gas tanks and gas cans.

This is downtown Moose Lake. Go 27 east only about 2 miles and you are at the parking lot.
Heading East just outside Moose Lake on 27 heading toward 35w.
Turn left off 27 onto Halgren Rd.
Looking backward after turning left onto Halgren Rd.

This shows you how close 35w is to the parking lot.

Some fine tuning before we took to the trails.
Leaving the parking lot and heading on to the trail is this sign. Further down there is an open gate.

Even Mark on his Sunl 70cc was able to climb this hill.
The view from the top of the hill. It was just a circle and great to practice hill climbing. This was the first hill you come to when you leave the parking lot. It is on the right side.

Ryan was able to climb this hill easily with his Honda 80. At the top it comes to a point and drops back down sharply. We all had to be careful to slooow down so we did not get air and crash. We did fine.
Moose Lake ---Soo Line Pit---The riding was fun!

Josiah and Nick heading up a hill that was great for us to learn on. Steep, long and solid ground. Below is Ryan going up the hill. I stood by in case they didn't make it on the first try.
We parked in the shade and had our lunch on the trailer bed.
Jeffrey had two broken spokes by 2:00. I learned the hard way that a stitch in time saves nine. I replaced them in the parking lot. I bent them every direction to get them in, but they are in!

Ryan decided to go hiking on the hill.

Ryan took a spill. Everyone fell down but no one was hurt.
Going up the side of the hill was new to all of us but we all did it and it was fun!
Mark had a struggle riding on the soft sandy surface. His bike is smaller and he is only 7 years old. I let him ride on my 175 Yamaha, he sat in front and held on to the handle bars. Sometimes I could hear him shout," No, No, No," but later he said, "that is not scary anymore!"
Doing the K-turn.
Josiah taking a break.

Nick and Mark evaluating the situation.

Parked across the street from the D.Q.
Downtown Moose Lake-- time to eat! This looked like a good place to satisfy our hunger and tell our stories.
Hungry dirt bike rider.
Dirty faced trail blazer!

Enjoying dinner after a fun day of riding. From here we headed back to the cabin where we jumped in the lake to cool off and remove dirt. THE END OF A GREAT DAY ON THE TRAILS!----HAPPY TRAILS!!!!
